About 

Melanie is a shamanic practitioner, Usui and Celtic Tree Medicine Master/Teacher, and mindfulness facilitator and coach.  Though she holds her trainings and experience in high regard, when titles are put aside, Melanie is truly a tender of souls. The ways in which she supports her clients are grounded in the beauty of tending the soul's yearning, what a person most needs in a given moment, reclaiming one's sovereignty, power, and wholeness. She uses her natural gifts as an empath and medium to bring her clients healing and guidance. Her love of nature, animals, and all living things fuels her passion for bringing balance to herself, others, and the Earth. Melanie holds certification and training in the following areas: Copper Beech Institute Mindfulness Facilitator Certification (CBI-MFC), Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui Method of Natural Healing, trance healing, and Medical Intuition through the Psyche Institute of Higher Learning; Celtic Reiki: Sacred Tree Medicine Master/Teacher, graduate of Celtic and core shamanic practitioner training, and graduate of Celtic Shamanism through Jane Burns, OM/Shamanic Practitioner; and Wisdom of the Earth Level 1 Medicinal Aromatherapy. 

Melanie has a special gift working with all ages.  Her creativity and talents as a veteran teacher extend into her spiritual practice through the many classes offered at Sea in the Sky.  She offers classes in Celtic Tree Medicine, introduction to shamanism, spiritual protection, spiritual development, meditation, journeying, and more.  Melanie is a dedicated student of Celtic spirituality, believing that we never stop learning and growing.  She is blessed to share her life with her husband Al and their dogs, Maezie and Rian.  Melanie is the owner of Sea in the Sky, LLC; a healing practice to tend the soul.

"I received healing Celtic Reiki from Melanie and it was unlike any other healing experience I have had. I felt a sense of calm and peace as soon as I entered Sea in the Sky Healing and Wellness Center. Laying on the heated therapy table under the softest blanket was only the beginning of the incredibly soothing and healing therapy I received. I told Melanie about a couple of challenging areas of energy in my body manifesting in physical pain. She already seemed to know why I was experiencing certain pain. When she began performing Reiki, I felt a deep sense of safety and gratitude. As she moved universal life energy through my body, I felt the emotional and physical movement of energy. On an emotional level, I felt forgiveness about guilt I was experiencing. This release led to tears streaming down my face and a strengthening feeling in my heart chakra. On a physical level, I could feel the energy moving as Melanie directed healing light energy to clear the blockage in my root chakra. Imbalance in the root chakra can lead to physical knee pain, which I was experiencing when I went in for this healing. Towards the end of the Celtic Reiki session, I felt an incredible wave of energy wash over my body, beginning at my head and flowing over me past my feet as if a wave of water had just washed over my body revealing only light energy. When Melanie had finished giving me Reiki, she allowed me as much time as I needed to be ready to get up. Then she shared with me the tree medicine that came forth to help me heal. She had been guided to bring Birch essential oil with her that day and it was meant for me and for healing my knee. Birch was one of the trees that came to help me heal, as well as Oak, Silver Fir, and Sea. "An event occurred in our home in 2016 that was traumatizing to think about until Melanie shared messages from Spirit about the event and performed a healing energy clearing in the home. A few months after it happened, I asked Melanie for help in healing, not knowing what to expect. Melanie came to our home and journeyed to non-ordinary reality for us. She had journeyed prior to coming and had messages from spirit guides that were present when the event occurred. She accurately identified my departed grandmother, as a guardian angel of my children, who was present during the event to provide comfort.
